Send your parcels 01 Packaging & Specifications You can send parcels within the maximum size and weight. The size and weight determine your postage costs. Maximum parcel size and weight: To ship your parcels effectively with damage, packaging your items appropriately is important. Here are some tips for your information. Claim & Customer Service Contact When your items are lost or damaged, you’re entitled to claim compensation from Australia Post up to $100. For delayed items, compensation is only available for Express Post service. Requests for compensation must be lodged within: 6 months of the item being posted or 30 days of delivery, or the intended date of delivery, for International Courier or International Express items. Compensation is not available for any items: with no proof of lodgement (for example, a postage or lodgement receipt or the tracking sticker found on certain prepaid satchels and envelopes); which contain bank notes, bullion, or similar items; which contain any items or dangerous goods that are prohibited either by Australia Post or by the postal service of the destination country; which were not adequately packed; or where damage was not caused by Australia Post.
